In the 3 minute video below, I talk about an often forgotten aspect of your child’s school readiness – their gross motor skills.
Your child’s self-esteem is very closely aligned to what he or she can DO… and so running, hopping, skipping, dancing and being able to kick, catch and throw a ball could be an important part of your child’s life when they go to school next year.
Why are these things important?
Well, the playground is the great leveller in schools.
It’s where kids make friends, find their place and build social and emotional confidence.
Helping your child to develop their gross motor skills now is really quite important…and it’s relatively cheap and easy to do.
I hope the ideas I share below will help your child to thrive at school next year.
